The Richter Rest is the only padded leather chin rest for the violin. It solves all of the problems associated with other chin rests, protecting both the player and the instrument. "It feels like a pillow for your jaw!" Founder, Meade Richter, came up with his invention in 2017 while studying music at the Norwegian Academy of Music. His goal was to fashion a comfortable chin rest for himself that would not cause pain or irritation after hours of practice and save his violin from severe damage associated with playing without a chin rest. After years of refining the original invention, Meade realized that his chin rest could help violinists around the world to practice more, perform without pain, and play with more longevity, unhindered by the chronic soreness that is all to common among musicians.
